Lotte Shogo Nakamura infielder (33) opened his training session with Kyuto Ueda infielder (24) and others in Okinawa Prefecture on March 15.
Last season, he was limited to a career-low 20 games due to a back injury and other factors. He underwent back surgery in September of last year and said, "I'm trying to rebuild my body from scratch so that I can compete for a whole year. I'm also working hard to increase my output." In order to bounce back, he has been energetically swinging his bat and catching balls during batting practice since the 9th during his voluntary training.
He intends to compete at second base this season. "I'm in a position where I have to go and take the position. I have to compete hard and win. I have to produce results. I want to prepare well so that I can make an impression from day one," he said, approaching his 12th year of training camp not just for adjustments, but with a spirit of challenge.
