Fujiwara commented through the team, "I'm doing full-body training with the themes of explosiveness and building a body that won't get injured. Every day is very fulfilling. From now on, I want to continue building my body and increase my output. I absolutely want to win the title this year. The team slogan is 'PLAY FREE. WIN HARD.' I will also train hard, push myself, play intensely and do my best to get results."

He is currently training independently under Red Sox player Masataka Yoshida, and today he did weight training in the morning and batting practice on ground in the afternoon.
