Orix Buffaloes manager Kishida smiles while holding a board with catch.

On the 10th, Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes announced that catch for 2026 will be "Feverish #Bassion2026." In 2025, manager Mamoru Kishida's first year in charge, the team adopted the slogan "Constant Passion," and they leapt from fifth to third place without ever dropping below a 50% winning percentage since the start of the season. The entire team shared a "greater passion" as they strived to regain their first championship since 2011, when they achieved three consecutive league championships.

On this day, the rookie team began their joint voluntary training at the team's facility in Maishima, Osaka, and in the afternoon, a meeting was held with the manager, coaches, and staff. The manager passionately declared, "Last year (2015) we started off with a normal level of enthusiasm, and we've continued to be passionate. This year, we combined the words 'resolved' and 'determined' to come out as 'passionate'. We ended up in third place, which was disappointing, but second place is no good either, so we're really going to work hard and aim for first place."
