Amazing hits born from a powerful swing

Voit held a press conference on June 30th and immediately joined the first team on July 2nd. In his first game in Japan, he hit a home run as a greeting. In the bottom of the seventh inning, he took a sharp swing at breaking ball from pitcher Chiba Lotte Marines Kimura of the Chiba Yuto Kimura, sending the ball straight into the left-field stands. It was hit 's first hit since coming to Japan, and he demonstrated his true potential.

The game was held in Hirosaki against Fukuoka Softbank on August 26. With the score tied in the bottom of the 5th inning, the team scored a run and with one out bases loaded, it was up to Voit to bat. He swung at a slider pitch down the middle and hit a perfect shot into the left field stands for a grand slam! The voltage in the stadium reached a climax.

Voit's home run hits are often very "sure" hits, but he especially showed his greatness on September 7, when he hit No. 10 of the season. On that day, he hit a solo shot that tied the game at No. 9 in his second at-bat, and in his third at-bat with the score at 3-1, he pulled a high, straight ball. He hit the ball at a velocity of 181 km/h, and the opposing outfield team could only look away.

Tomorrow, the 24th (Thursday), we will be replaying the brilliant outfield defense shown by Saitama Seibu Lions 's Manaya Nishikawa.
