Masayuki Kuwahara (32), outfielder who transferred from DeNA as a free agent, held an introductory press conference at the team's facilities in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture on the 22nd.

During the press conference, fans surprised him with a message board. Last season, his energetic fox dance during the interleague game against Nippon-Ham (at Escon Stadium) attracted a lot of attention. Kuwahara broke into a smile and said, "There are lots of comments about the fox dance. I guess that's what the fans are looking forward to," but then he made a strong vow, "There's also a comment about guts. I think the fans are most looking forward to seeing me full of energy, so I'll do my best."
