outfielder Masashi Kuwahara (32), who transferred from DeNA as a free agent, held a press conference at the team's facility in Tokorozawa, Saitama on the 22nd.

During the press conference, fans delivered a surprise message book to him. During last season's interleague game against Nippon-Ham (Ace Contest), his full-power fox dance attracted attention. Kuwahara said with a smile, "There's a lot of fox dance written on it. I guess that's what the fans are looking forward to," but he also vowed with determination, "It also says guts. I think the fans are most looking forward to seeing me in good health, so I'll do my best."
