"My first win as a first-team starter was more than I expected, so I think my personal performance was better than I expected this season."
Lotte's Yuto Yoshikawa, who earned a spot as a contracted player midway through the season, had a satisfying season.
Yoshikawa played in 12 games (8 starts) in the farm team, posting a record of 5 wins and 2 losses with ERA of 3.67, and was registered as a controlled player on July 31. He made his first appearance on the mound in the first team against Seibu on August 1. He made his first professional start against Rakuten on August 21, giving up 4 runs in 5 innings and earning his first professional win.
Regarding next season, he stated, "I would like to be on the first team from the start of the season, and if possible, my goal would be to pitch as a starter in the first team."
