On the 25th, Lotte announced that pitcher Rikuto Yokoyama Yokoyama's number will be changed from '60' to '15'.
Yokoyama commented through the team, "This is the number that was worn by a great senior like Mima. I would like to work hard to become a player who does not shame this number. Also, although I went to a different school than Mima, we had the same high school teacher (Mochimaru Shuichi). In that sense, I feel like we have a connection, or are connected. It's a number that brings up a lot of thoughts, and it's a cool number. I'm honored to be able to wear the number 15, and I'll do my best to achieve good results next year."
This season, Yokoyama's sixth year as a professional, saw him achieve his long-held goal of pitching in 50 games, pitching in 50 games and finishing with a record of 2 wins, 4 losses, 20 hold, 12 saves, and ERA of 2.08.
