◆Farm League West Division Orix Buffaloes vs. Hiroshima (19th, Kyocera Dome Osaka)
Orix Buffaloes pitcher Haruki Mori Fujikawa and Atsuya Fujikawa pitcher their "home debut" in a farm league game against the Hiroshima Carp. The high school graduates, who were the first and second picks in the 2013 draft, were both making their second appearances in the farm league. It was their first time mound at Kyocera Dome Osaka since turning professional.
In the fourth inning with neither team scoring scores, Fujikawa came in as the second pitcher. He gave the lead, Kei Sato, a Walk, but after taking a struck out from Ramírez, Fabian finished it off to the left. In the following at-bat by Takashi Nakamura, first base runner Kei Sato failed to steal second base, allowing him to clear the first inning with zero groundout. In the fifth inning, Nakamura Takashi grounded out, Nishikawa swung struck out missed, and Shimizu flew out to left. Centered around his fastball topping out at 151 km/h, he threw two innings without hit, runs, and two strike out.
In the sixth inning, with a one-run lead, Mori Yo took mound after Fujikawa. He walked the leadoff batter, Walk, then allowed a stolen base, and a safety bunt by Kishimoto put runners on first and third with no outs. He then closer Dobayashi with a fly ball to first base. However, with one out, he allowed Kishimoto to steal second base, and then shortstop Yokoyama Sei and left fielder Gibo misjudged Sato Kei's fly ball, resulting in a two-run doble that gave the opposing team the lead. He then gave up a single to Ramirez, and was unfortunately forced to leave the game. Nevertheless, his fastest fastball reached 150 km/h. He finished with 1/3 of an inning, giving up 3 hit 2 runs, but he certainly showed his high potential.
