◇ Chiba Lotte Marines vs. Fukuoka Softbank 8th Round (28th, Zozo Marine Stadium)

Chiba Lotte Marines Koki Yamaguchi player hit his 11th two-run homer to tie the game.

In the bottom of the fifth, trailing by three runs, Aito and Ryusei Ogawa hit with one out and runners on first and third, and scored a run between Misho Nishikawa 's infield grounder. With two outs and a runner on first, Yamaguchi came to the plate and, count 1-0, swung through the opponent's starter, Haru Matsumoto pitcher. The high-flying ball pierced the left-center stands, bringing the match back to square one.

Yamaguchi reached double-digit Home Run for the first time in three years during the match against Tohoku Rakuten Eagles on the 21st. From here, it will be interesting to see if they can mass-produce and surpass their career-high 16 Home Run set in the 2022 season.

◇ Comment from Player Yamaguchi
"I hit fastball. In my previous at-bat, I struck out bases loaded chance, and in my first at-bat, I struck out and got even more fired up, so I stepped up to bat with the determination to hit at all. I'm glad I was able to finish a soft pitch with just one pitch."
