Chiba Lotte Marines 's Rikuto Yokoyama pitcher became the second player in NPB history and the first in Pacific League history to "save three people in a inning hitter with three pitches."

Yokoyama took the mound in the top of the ninth inning with a two-run pitcher. He threw a 150km/h fastball at a high outside angle to the leader Yoshiaki Watanabe and hit it with a left fly. McCusker also finished off with two grounders with a fastball with a high outside angle, and finally hit Hikaru Ota with a 150km/h fastball in the middle and finished off three hitter with three pitches.

This record is the second in NPB history since Hiroshima's Ryori Kuribayashi pitcher in 2024. He made his 8th save of the season with an energy-saving pitch.
