Today, November 25th (Tuesday), Chiba Lotte Marines Shunsuke Nakamori We look back at pitcher 's all-out "one-pitch fire-extinguishing" attempt.

A powerful fastball that broke the bad flow

On May 15th, Tohoku Rakuten faced Chiba Lotte Marines at Tokyo Dome. Kyota Fujiwara hit two consecutive RBI hits to give Chiba Lotte Marines an early lead, and they continued to score from the middle of the game onwards, including Soto 's fifth solo home run in the top of the sixth inning.

However, in the bottom of the seventh inning, with the score at 5-0, pitcher Akira Yagi gave up a hit to Hideto Asamura with two outs and bases loaded on first and second, and then allowed hit to Toshiki Abe, loading the bases with Walk outs. He then walked Kengo Horiuchi, bringing the score to within three runs.

With the bases bases loaded and two outs, pitcher Shunsuke Nakamori took to mound in a situation where a single would be enough to turn the game around. Facing Hiroto Kobukata, he struck out the batter with a straight pitch high and in the middle of fastball, getting the ball to fly out to third base, getting out of the jam with just one pitch.

Nakamori has been used as reliever pitcher since the start of the season, and has recorded four consecutive hold since his first professional hold against Tohoku Rakuten on May 13. In the June 12th game against Hiroshima, he retired the first batter in one inning with nine pitches, earning his first professional save.

He has not had a chance to pitch since mid-July due to back pain, but he still had a good record in the first half of the season, with 2 wins, 2 losses, 10 hold, 5 saves, and ERA of 1.23 in 25 games, so expectations are high for next season.

Tomorrow, November 26th (Wednesday), we bring you the highlight of baseball! We'll be featuring "home run." We'll be highlighting the three bases loaded slams hit by Fukuoka Softbank Hotaka Yamakawa.
