◇Chiba Lotte Marines vs. Tohoku Rakuten Eagles, 18th Round (8th, Zozo Marine Stadium)

Chiba Lotte Marines' Kota Inoue hit a go-ahead 5th solo home run.

Starting for the second consecutive game as the "8th hitter, left fielder." Entering the batter's box as the lead-off hitter in the bottom of the 3rd inning, Inoue hit an inside fastball thrown by the opposing starter, Kenta Maeda, on a 2-1 count. The high-flying ball landed in the left field home run lagoon. He responded to the assignment with a home run in two consecutive games.

He has recorded three home runs against the Rakuten Eagles, including a Home Run off pitcher Kenta Maeda in the game against the Rakuten Eagles on April 29th.

◇Kota Inoue Comment
"I think the pitch I hit was a two seam fastball. Since he is a good pitcher, I intended to swing firmly at any ball that came into the strike zone from the first pitch, and I think being able to swing firmly from the first pitch led to this good result."
