Lotte announced on the 30th that HARUTO (Haruto Akagi), who joined the team through the 'TEAMMATES' project operated by the certified NPO Being ALIVE Japan as part of the 'MARINES LINKS' social contribution project, will suspend his team activities for approximately six months to prioritize medical treatment and recovery from his current illness.
HARUTO received a uniform with number '100' in March of this year and has been active as a member of The Marines. Based on the subsequent progress of his physical condition and as a result of discussions with his primary care physician and his family, it has been determined that he currently needs to focus on treatment and recuperation. Consequently, it has been decided that he will suspend team activities, such as visiting the stadium and participating in related events, for approximately six months.
The return to activities is scheduled for around the spring of 2027, but the final decision will be made in consultation with his primary physician and family while monitoring the progress of HARUTO's recovery. The team will continue to provide support alongside his family so that HARUTO can rejoin the team in good health.
The 'TEAMMATES' project is an initiative that supports children requiring long-term medical treatment by providing them with opportunities to act as members of sports teams, helping them maintain social connections and gain experiences toward independence. Chiba Lotte Marines are working on this project together with their partner company, Links Build Co., Ltd.

Right now, I will focus first and foremost on recovering from my illness, and I will do my best to get plenty of rest and become healthy again. Becoming a member of The Marines and spending time with the players and fans is a precious memory for me. I will work hard to get well so that I can go to Zozo Marine Stadium and see everyone again. Please wait for me until then!
