Seibu Lions outfielder Shinya Hasegawa hit his 12th two-run Home Run of the season, successfully completing a comeback. His 12 Home Runs in a single season by a player originally drafted through the developmental draft tied the record for the most, alongside Softbank Hawks catcher Takuya Kai (currently with The Giants) and The Giants outfielder Seiya Matsubara, who both achieved the feat in 2021.

He started the game as the number seven hitter and center fielder. In the second inning with two outs and a runner on second, trailing by one run, he caught a 147 km/h fastball from the opposing starter, Higashimatsu, and hit a two-run home run into the left-field stands.

Hasegawa joined the team as the second pick in the 2020 developmental draft from Tsuruga Kehi High School in Fukui. He was promoted to the 70-man roster in July 2022, his second year as a professional.
