◆Pacific League: Rakuten Eagles vs. Lotte (29th, Rakuten Mobile Saikyo Park)

Lotte outfielder Daito Yamamoto (24) was in the starting line-up as the number seven hitter and right fielder. In the top of the second inning with the score tied 1-1, he hit his third solo home run of the season into the left-field stands off Rakuten Eagles starting right-hander Tatsuki Ito to take the lead.

In the first inning while leading by one run, he was playing right field defense. With one out and a runner on second, after he made the catch on Kobukata's fly ball, he made a throw to third base to try and get the runner Muneyama who was attempting to tag up, but it missed the target significantly. During that time, Muneyama scored, and an error was recorded for Yamamoto. He immediately made up for that mistake by hitting a go-ahead home run.
