◆ "The extra inning of hitting strong line drive-like balls is resulting in Home Runs."

Softbank Hawks' Tomoya Masaki hit a Home Run in two consecutive at-bats during the game against Lotte on the 13th.

Masaki's Home Run total for the season has reached 27. On the Fuji TV ONE program "Pro baseball News 2026" aired on the 13th, MC Tomotaka Sakaguchi said, "Along with Ryoya Kurihara with 37 home runs and Kensuke Kondo with 28, a 30-home run trio is about to be formed." Commentator Kenji Tomashino exclaimed, "He's a terrifying hitter. He doesn't hit Home Run extra inning with an upward swing at all. It's more like he hits strong line drive drives, and when you watch them, you can see that they have an incredible amount of spin."
