The Seibu Lions' number four hitter, Nevin, has reached 20 home runs for the second consecutive year since arriving in Japan.

Leading off the fourth inning while trailing by four runs, it was a matchup against Nippon-Ham's starter, Kohei Arihara. On the second pitch after a ball, he took a full swing at a 143 km/h shootball that caught too much of the plate. The moment he hit it, it was a strike he knew was gone, and the ball flew into the left-field stands where the Lions fans were waiting.

"The opposing pitcher was throwing well, so I'm glad I could get one run back first. I'll do my best next time as well," said Nevin. Last season, his first year in Japan, he recorded 21 home runs. This season, he will continue to swing his bat until the very end, aiming for the team's win.
