◆Pacific League Seibu Lions vs. Nippon-Ham (13th, Belluna Dome)

During pre-game practice, Nippon-Ham manager Tsuyoshi Shinjo and Seibu Lions manager Fumiya Nishiguchi were seen having a conversation. It is extremely unusual for Manager Shinjo to speak with the opposing team's manager before a game.

Manager Shinjo walked over to Manager Nishiguchi, who was watching batting practice from behind the batting cage.

On the previous day, the 12th, a situation bordering on a brawl occurred when Nippon-Ham pitcher Hiromi Ito and Seibu Lions infield defense and base running coach Satoshi Kuroda, who serves as the third base coach, glared at each other, causing players from both teams to rush toward the mound. The situation was brought under control after about five minutes. The stadium was filled with a strange atmosphere as boos echoed from the stands.

The following morning, it appears that the two commanders had some form of communication.
