◆Pacific League: Seibu Lions vs. Nippon-Ham (12th, Belluna Dome)

The Belluna Dome fell into a state of immediate tension. In the bottom of the 5th inning with two outs and a runner on first, and the Seibu Lions leading by two runs, Nippon-Ham's Hiromi Ito threw his third pitch with the count at 1-1. Afterward, Ito ended up in a standoff, glaring at the Seibu Lions' third base coach, Satoshi Kuroda (infield defense and base running coach). Players from both teams rushed toward the mound, causing a commotion in the stadium. Even the pitchers in the bullpen ran to the mound. Reyes took the lead to intervene and stop the confrontation. Pitching coach Kato placed his hand on Ito's shoulder to restrain him. Manager Shinjo also rushed to the circle and spoke to Ito.

The situation was brought under control after about five minutes. Boos echoed from the stands, creating a strange atmosphere.
