On the CS Fuji TV ONE program 'Professional baseball News 2026' broadcast on the 11th, Softbank Hawks' Yudai Yamamoto was featured. On this day, Yamamoto contributed to the team's win with a three hit performance and excellent game-calling. Akio Saito, who appeared as a commentator, remarked, 'Although he is being used with regular rest, he is making a solid contribution in both his game-calling and batting in the games he plays. It feels as though he has finally gotten used to the Softbank Hawks jersey.'

Toshiaki Imae, who was also providing commentary, praised him, saying, 'While there are few catchers who are also good at hitting, he looks like someone who is skilled at batting. As a catcher, he led Maeda well today, and since he seemed to be calling pitches in sync with the pitcher's tempo, I have the impression that he is watching the pitcher very closely.'
