Rakuten Eagles pitcher Takayuki Kishi and infielder Po Hsiang Yang were removed from the active roster on the 11th.
The 41-year-old Kishi has appeared in 10 games this season, recording 4 wins and 5 losses with a 2.80 ERA. In the game against Lotte on the 10th, he took the starting mound and allowed 9 hit and 6 runs (3 earned) over 7 innings. In that same game, he struck out 6, reaching 1,000 strike out since joining the Rakuten Eagles. He achieved the feat of becoming only the second player in history, after Masaaki Koyama, to record 1,000 or more strike out with two different teams.
September has an irregular schedule. A cycle of four to five games per week will continue. The veterans will prepare themselves for their next appearances on the mound.
