On the CS Fuji TV ONE program 'Professional baseball News 2026' broadcast on the 10th, the focus was on the Pacific League hit leader race. On this day, Nishikawa hit a left-field doble in his fourth At Bat, closing the gap to within 4 hits of the leader, Reyes. Tomotaka Sakaguchi, who appeared as a commentator, said, '(Nishikawa) is a player who is naturally capable of hitting this much. Although the team situation may be difficult, I want him to continue leading the team with his overall attitude by playing in every game, hitting, defending, and running.' When asked who he thought would take the most hits title, he commented, 'While they are all players capable of multi-hit games, I think Nishikawa has a high possibility because he possesses such high skill when it comes to getting a hit.'

Kenji Tomashino, who was also appearing as a commentator, named Nishikawa as a candidate for the most hit, saying, "In Reyes' case, he does hit home run, but he also Walk to avoid being hit... So I think Nishikawa will have hit."
