On the 10th, Nippon-Ham lost 2-3 in their game against the Softbank Hawks (Mizuho PayPay). They finished the regular season against the Softbank Hawks with a significant lose record of 5 wins, 18 losses, and 2 draws. Kenji Tomashino, who appeared as a commentator on the CS Fuji TV ONE program 'Professional baseball News 2026' broadcast on the 10th, stated, 'In the regular season, Nippon-Ham suffered a complete defeat in every aspect against the Softbank Hawks... However, if there is a chance to get revenge, and if they cannot win by playing normally, I am interested in seeing what kind of surprise attack or actions Manager Shinjo will take. This includes tactics such as pitcher usage and relaying. I think we might see something special they are betting on there.'

Tomotaka Sakaguchi, who was also providing commentary, commented, '(Manager Shinjo) can employ various strategies, and I think they are a team where the players can sense that and execute... There were issues with how they gave up runs and moments where they weren't clicking well with the hitters. There are many high-ability pitchers, and the hitters are part of a team that can fight using various tactics, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they make adjustments.'
