◆ Pacific League: Softbank Hawks vs. Seibu Lions (5th, Mizuho PayPay Stadium)

On the 5th, the second-place Seibu Lions will face the league-leading Softbank Hawks, whom they trail by six games, in the second game of their head-to-head series at Mizuho PayPay Dome.

The lineup was significantly reorganized. Sosuke Genda infielder returned to starting line-up for the first time since August 28 against Rakuten Eagles (Belluna Field). He paired with Natsuo Takizawa infielder as a shortfielder. An-Ko Lin outfielder also ranked starting line-up as the fifth batter and left fielder.

In his 25th professional year, infielder Takeya Nakamura, who showed a great performance with 3 hits in 4 At Bats and 1 RBI in the same matchup on the previous day, the 4th, will appear as the 'number 4 designated hitter' for the second consecutive game.

They have faced the opposing starting pitcher Ryosuke Otsu four times this season, resulting in zero wins and three losses. Will they finally be able to hand him a loss today?

The starting pitcher is Chihiro Sumida, who is one win away from reaching double-digit victories for the second consecutive year. He will form a battery with the first-round draft pick, catcher Taiga Kojima from Meiji University.
