◆ Pacific League: Rakuten Eagles vs. Nippon-Ham (April 4th, Rakuten Eagles Mobile Saikyo Park Miyagi)

Rakuten Eagles pitcher Tatsuki Koja left the mound after giving up 8 hits, 4 walks/Hit by Pitch, and 5 runs in 5 innings.

He struggled from the very beginning. After getting into a jam with two outs and runners on first and second in the first inning, he gave up the opening run on an RBI single to center by Nomura. He then allowed a two-run RBI single to right by Mizuno.

Tatsumi and McCusker's solo home runs brought them within one run, but they couldn't hold on. In the fifth inning, with no outs and a runner on first, Reyes hit a two-run homer into the left-field stands, widening the lead. They were unable to secure their second win, which would have been their first in three and a half months since May 16th.
