Rakuten Eagles infielder Po Hsiang Yang recorded his first hit of the season and his first career multi-hit game.

He made his second appearance in the starting line-up this season, batting ninth and playing second base. In the third inning with a runner on first and no outs, he hung onto a low breaking ball and drove it to right field. Furthermore, he hit a sharp hit to center field as the lead-off batter in the fifth inning. This marked his first multi-hit game in his second year as a professional.

This season in the farm league, he recorded a batting average of .292, 3 Home Runs, and 8 stolen bases, earning a promotion back to the first team on August 25th. The 21-year-old, who has shown remarkable growth in both offense and defense, delivered a performance that justified his inclusion in the starting lineup. Manager Yoshii said with a bright tone, "He really gives us some bold swings. I think it was great that it worked out in a good way today."
