◆ Pacific League: Rakuten Eagles 5-1 Orix Buffaloes (1st, Akita)

Rakuten Eagles infielder Rui Muneyama hit two Home Run in a single game for the first time in his career.

First, in the fifth inning with no score and runners on first and second with no outs, he hit his third home run of the season, a three-run shot to right field off Kuri, to take the lead. Then, in the seventh inning with two outs, he added a solo home run, his sixth of the year. 'I think it's the result of maintaining a good hitting form. The second one was a swing where I really drove through the ball. I believe if I can keep having at-bats like that, the results will naturally follow,' he said with a nod.

He provided strong support for rookie Tatsuki Ito's second win, who had been pitching well. He praised his junior's pitch, saying, 'I watch him and think he's truly amazing because he throws with such confidence.'
