◆Pacific League: Rakuten Eagles vs. Orix Buffaloes (1st, Akita)
Rakuten Eagles infielder Rui Muneyama hit a go-ahead three-run home run.
In the fifth inning with no score for either team and runners on first and second with one out, he caught a change-up thrown by Kuri and drove it into the right-field seats. It was his fifth three-run home run of the season, breaking the deadlock and providing support for the starter Tatsuki Ito, who had been pitching excellently.
The third one of the season off Kuri.
