Tohoku Rakuten Eagles to hold spring training in Kin Town, Okinawa Prefecture, for the 10th consecutive year (10th time overall)

Tohoku Rakuten Eagles announced that they will hold their 2027 spring training in Kin Town, Okinawa Prefecture (first team) and Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture (second team). The Kin camp will be held for the 10th time and 10th consecutive year, while the Hyuga camp will be held for the 5th time and 5th consecutive year. Details of the schedule will be released at a later date once they are finalized.

Tohoku Rakuten Eagles: New season seat "THE Gran" launched

Tohoku Rakuten Eagles will be significantly renovating the annual seat prestige area located behind backstop at Rakuten Eagles Mobile Saikyo Park Miyagi for the 2027 season. The new annual seat, "THE Gran," will go on sale from Monday, September 14th. Additionally, from Tuesday, September 15th until the final home game of the season, an annual seat consultation event will be held at Rakuten Eagles Mobile Saikyo Park Miyagi.

There are two types of seating: "The Grand Premium" and "The Grand." Exclusive services include access to a dedicated gate, a dedicated concierge, and access to the exclusive lounge, "THE Gran LOUNGE."

Saitama Seibu Lions to hold "Seibu Lions Line Ensen Summit 15th Anniversary Day"

Seibu Lions Railway Co., Ltd. and Saitama Seibu Lions Co., Ltd. will hold the "Seibu Lions Line Summit 15th Anniversary Anniversary" on Saturday, September 26, at the Chiba Lotte Marines Battle. This event is held to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the "Seibu Lions Line Summit," which consists of the municipalities along the Seibu Lions line: Toshima Ward, Higashikurume City, Kiyose City, Tokorozawa City, Iruma City, Hannō City, Yokose Town, Chichibu City, and Seibu Lions Railway.

On the day of the event, children living in municipalities participating in the Seibu Lions Line Summit participated in the Starting Kids and Lucky Seven cheering squads, supporting Saitama Seibu Lions across the entire municipality. Additionally, collaboration booths introducing local governments' initiatives and selling goods were set up, showcasing the appeal of the Seibu Lions Line-side municipalities.

Orix Buffaloes: A Blue Impulse pilot takes the mound for the 9th Naniwa HERO Special Ceremonial First Pitch

The Orix Buffaloes will hold the "Naniwa HERO Special Ceremonial First Pitch" on September 12 (Sat) during the Tohoku Rakuten Eagles game, featuring local heroes who have contributed to brightening the city of Osaka. For this 9th edition, Shoya Matsuura, who is active as a pilot for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's aerobatic team "Blue Impulse," will take the mound.

Mr. Matsuura, a native of Osaka Prefecture, played baseball from his first year of elementary school to his third year of high school. In 2024, he achieved his long-held dream of becoming a Blue Impulse pilot, and in 2025, he performed a brilliant aerobatic flight at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

Fukuoka Softbank to hold third-team exchange matches with South Korean KBO teams

An exhibition series between Fukuoka Softbank' third team and the Korean KBO team NC Dinos has been scheduled. The series will take place over three days, from Friday, October 9th to Sunday, October 11th, at Tamahome Stadium Chikugo.
