◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Chiba Lotte Marines, Game 21 (30th, ES CON FIELD)

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham tied the game with a solo home run by Yuya Shindo) and a two-run homer by Kotaro Kiyomiya (his 16th of the season).

In the bottom of the fifth inning, trailing by three runs, Shindo stepped up to the plate as the leadoff batter. On a 1-0 count, he pulled a fastball from opposing pitcher Haruya Tanaka, sending the ball into the left field bullpen for his fourth home run of the season. Then, after hit by Shun Mizutani put a runner on first with one out, Kiyomiya Yuki hit his 16th home run, a two-run shot, tying the game with a home run offensive.

This was Yuki Kiyomiya's first home run to the opposite field since his 5th of the season, a three-run homer, against Tohoku Rakuten Eagles on April 9th. The team also managed to take the lead in the bottom of the 7th inning with a timely hit by Mizutani.
