Keep an eye on Tohoku Rakuten Eagles 's seventh-round draft pick, rookie Shoya Sakagami, who has been performing well in the farm league with a batting average of .256, 4 Home Run 27 RBI. He made his first-team debut in April this season, appearing in 3 games but failing to hit. Meanwhile, fellow rookie Kyosuke Kaneko a fourth-round developmental draft pick, recorded his first professional hit the day before. Will he be motivated by his teammate's success and be able to make it back to the first team?

Chiba Lotte Marines 's fifth-round draft pick, Yuya Sakurai, also a rookie, recorded two hit, including Home Run on the 11th. This season, he has played in 80 games, batting .261 with 5 Home Run runs and 35 RBI, a good performance for a first-year high school graduate. He was first called up to the first team in May, but went hit at that time. He will be working his way up the ranks in the farm system to earn a spot on the first team.
