◆Pacific League: Nippon-Ham vs. Lotte (28th, ES CON FIELD)
Before the game, Kabuki, a traditional Japanese culture and UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, was performed on the ground for the first time at a game hosted by Nippon-Ham. Kabuki actors Kataoka Ainosuke and Fujima Michinori performed 'Renjishi,' a representative piece of Kabuki and Japanese classical dance.
Ainosuke Kataoka, who appeared as the ground went dark, headed to a stage set up near the backstop. Next, Koushi Fujima took the stage and captivated the fans in the stands with powerful yet delicate movements. The powerful hair-shaking performance was met with loud applause.
Ainosuke Kataoka changed into his costume for 'Lupin III: The Beautiful Castle of Emerald Green,' which will be performed at the Minamiza in Kyoto in September, and headed to the mound. Despite it being his first first baseman pitch, he showcased an impressive no-bounce pitch from a powerful wind-up and said, 'It was my first time experiencing this. I was incredibly nervous. Everyone, please come to see the Kabuki.'
