Lotte's Koki Yamaguchi hit his 25th Home Run in the game against the Softbank Hawks on the 27th.

In the third inning, with one out and no runner on base, Yamaguchi came up to bat for the second time in a row. He hit a 149 km/h fastball, the second pitch thrown by Taiga Kamichatani after a 1-ball count, to the right of the center field Home Run for his second consecutive home run.

Yamaguchi reflected, "I hit a fastball. It was perfect. It was perfect, but when I saw how Shuto was chasing it, I thought it might be called, but I'm glad it went in. I was able to surpass Haruya (Inoue)'s number of home runs and catch up to Hatsushiba, so next I'll do my best to reach Ochiai's number of home runs."

This Home Run was his eighth in August, and his 25th Home Run of the season, tying Kiyoshi Hatsushiba for the most in a single season by a Japanese player since the move to Zozo Marine Stadium.
