Pacific League: Orix Buffaloes vs. Rakuten Eagles (27th, Kyocera Dome Osaka)
The Orix Buffaloes swapped four players. Pitcher Kyosuke Saito, who started for the first time in two years in the Rakuten Eagles game on the 26th (Kyocera Dome Osaka) and left the mound after giving up five runs in two innings, is heading to the farm for readjustment. He was removed from the active roster along with pitcher Kazuma Sato.
Instead, pitcher Ren Mukunoki and Ryusei Gonda have been recalled to the first pitcher. Mukunoki is tied with Suzuki (Lotte) for the league lead with 30 hold points. He will be looking to pitch at full capacity in the 8th inning of winning games as he aims for his first career title.
