Lotte announced on the 27th that, as part of the social contribution project "MARINES LINKS," pitcher Shota Suzuki will carry out an initiative to make donations based on his performance.

This activity began in the 2025 season out of pitcher Suzuki's desire to support children with intractable diseases and their families, and it is entering its second year this year. This season, for every hold point or save pitcher Suzuki records, he will donate 50,000 yen to the "Certified NPO National Network for Supporting Children with Intractable Diseases." Last season, he recorded 5 saves and 15 hold points, donating a total of 1 million yen.

Additionally, this season, 100,000 yen will be added to the donation amount for the one hold point recorded during the appearance in the Mynavi All-Star Game 2026 held in July. After the season ends, the donations based on this season's performance will be combined with the amount from the All-Star Game performance and donated. These funds will be used to build networks between children with intractable diseases, their families, and the various people who support them, as well as for activities that enhance the "brilliance of life" for the children and their families.

"MARINES LINKS" is a social contribution project in which the team, together with partner companies, supports social contribution activities led primarily by The Marines' players.

The name "MARINES LINKS" embodies the desire to "LINK" (meaning to connect) everyone involved with the Chiba Lotte Marines—including fans, local residents, government agencies, and partner companies—centered around the players of The Marines.

I started this activity last year, and I am encouraged by the fact that my play leads to support for children with intractable diseases and their families. Since each hold point and save recorded leads to a donation, I want to focus on the appearance in front of me first so that I can contribute to as many team wins as possible. I will continue to do my best to accumulate as many hold points and saves as possible and lead to as much support as possible. I will give my all on the mound for the team's win until the end of the season.
