Nippon-Ham secured a decisive victory against Seibu Lions, ending their three-game losing streak. Winning the head-to-head matchup narrowed the gap with second-place Seibu Lions to three games. Starting Kota Tatsu complete game, allowing only one runs in nine innings, earning his fourth win of the season and his first since the game against Lotte on July 31st (at Escon Stadium).
The offense took the lead in the third inning with one out and runners on first and third base when Kiyomiya Yuki hit an RBI sweep bases loaded triple season, a two-run shot, and Kiyomiya Yuki hit his 15th home run of the season, a three-run shot, scoring five runs in total and putting the team further ahead.
