Seibu Lions outfielder Alexander Canario hit his 12th solo home run to temporarily tie the game.

He started the game as the leadoff hitter and right fielder. In the third inning with two outs and trailing by one run, he drove a 152 km/h fastball from the opposing starter, Tatsu, into the right-field stands with a powerful swing that sent him leaning back. "I was able to focus on hitting to the right. I'm glad I could tie the game," he reflected.

After that, they gave up three runs in the fourth inning, allowing the opponent to take the lead.
