Softbank Hawks scored two runs in the first inning with consecutive bases-loaded Walk. With one out and bases loaded, Takashi Hirose hit a sweep three-run doble, creating a big inning with five runs in the first inning of the season. In the fourth inning, Kurihara scored two runs doble to pull away.
Starter Moinelo held off the Lotte lineup with an outstanding tempo. With an effortless first shutout game of the season, he improved to 3-0 in three games since his season debut on August 18.
