Rakuten Eagles 's outfielder Carson McCusker hit his 19th home run of the season.

In the second inning, with both teams scoreless, McCusker led off by connecting with a low outside fastball from Sou Sato. The ball soared to the right-center field stands. The foreign player, who had just hit a spectacular go-ahead home run, leisurely rounded the bases. "I think the little adjustments I made worked out well.
