Softbank Hawks ・ Ryosuke Otsu pitcher secured his first double-digit win total (10th) thanks to a strong outing of 8 innings, allowing 1 run runs. Although he had a record of 0-1 in his previous three games, this marked his first win of the second half of the season—his first since the July 18 game against the Lotte Marines (ZOZO)—and brought him to the 10-win milestone.

He showed a pitch that allowed no runner through the fourth inning. In the sixth inning, with one out and a runner on third, he gave up a timely hit to Sou but held on with a minimum runs. With a fastball approaching 150 km/h and a variety of breaking ball, he took control of the opposing lineup.

In the first inning, with two outs, the offense took an early 2-0 Home Run when third batter Kondo and fourth batter Kurihara hit back-to-back home runs. In the fifth inning, fifth batter Yanagida hit a three-run Home Run, with all of the heart of the batting order hitting home runs. They dominated Orix Buffaloes with a total of 7 runs, bringing their record against the only opponent in the league against which they had a losing record to 8 wins and 8 losses.
