He sent T-shirts as a gift when the team qualified for Koshien tournament. "I watched it on TV, and I went to the high school during the off-season to say hello and talked with Coach Nakatani. So far this season, he has played in 106 games, batting .242 with 3 Home Run and 20 RBI. He is using the efforts of his younger teammates as motivation. "My younger teammates are working hard, so I want to work hard too," he said with determination.
