Seibu Lions Lions infielder Kazunari Ishii was removed from the active roster on the 20th due to illness.
Ishii transferred from Nippon-Ham as a free agent last offseason, and this season he has played in 67 games, recording a batting average of .225, 6 Home Run, and 18 RBI.
Instead, infielder Keisuke Nakata joined the first team's pre-game practice.
