Orix Buffaloes Sean Hjelle pitcher was taken out after 5 hit 1 runs in the 7th inning. With one out in the first inning, Kojima was brought to center field, but Nevin grounded out to third and Canario swung struck out. He closer the start with no runs.

In the second inning, Hirasawa led off with doble the right field line, and Koga Yu advanced him with a ground ball, putting a runner on third with one out. He then gave up sacrifice fly to right field by Hiruma, allowing the opposing team to score the first run, but he retired the side in order in the third inning.

In the fourth inning, he gave up a hit between third and shortstop to leadoff batter Nevin, but got the next batter, Canario, to ground out to third double play. With two outs, he allowed a single to center field to Hirasawa and a single to right field to Yu Koga, but ultimately retired Hiruma on a flyout to right field. In the fifth inning, he retired the side in order.

In the sixth inning, immediately after his team's offense took the lead, he retired the leadoff batter Kojima with a fly ball to center field, and struck out out Nevin and Canario consecutively. In the seventh inning, he walked the leadoff batter Walk, and sacrifice bunt by Koga Yu put a runner on second with one out, but he closed out the inning by getting Hiruma to ground out to second base and Genda to ground out to shortstop.

From the 8th inning, the second pitcher, Yamazaki, took mound.

The 213cm right-hander had gone six consecutive games without a win since his third win against Softbank Hawks on June 23rd (at Mizuho PayPay Dome). He pitched a career-high seven innings, earning the right to his fourth win, his first in two months.
