Lotte scored two runs in the first inning, but Tatsumi immediately hit his 10th home run of the season to left field, narrowing the gap to one run. In the third inning, with two outs and runners on second and third base, Murabayashi hit a two-run single to center field, giving them the lead. In the seventh inning, Tatsumi added a fourth run with a timely hit.
