Tsutomu Iwamoto, who appeared on the “Pro baseball News 2026” program broadcast on Fuji TV ONE on the 15th, mentioned Orix Buffaloes and Taisuke Yamaoka.

In the Nippon-Ham game that day, Yamaoka got up in the seventh inning with the score at 2-5 and mound, and the three of them comfortably retired the batting order starting with the second batter, Tatsuki Mizuno. However, in the second inning of the eighth inning, he gave Walk to the leadoff Yuya Shindo, then a single to right on the Ryohei Hosokawa and a safety bunt to Daigo Kamikawahata, but Yamaoka fumbled it. He was taken out after bases loaded gave up sweep 's three-run doble to Naoki Arizono.

Iwamoto said, "In the top of the seventh, I pitched with all three batters out in order, but that excitement mound up in the second inning and I couldn't get it out. Suddenly, I Walk the leadoff batter, then hit a sweet ball in front of the right field—right here. Yamaoka is just fluffy. Yamaoka, who prides himself on fielding, makes errors like this. He was completely lost in the air pocket on the second inning and was completely soaked," he recalled.
