On the 15th, Tsutomu Iwamoto, who appeared on "Pro baseball News 2026" broadcast on Fuji TV ONE, commented on Softbank Hawks 's Taito Murakami.

Murakami, a sophomore after graduating high school and joining Softbank Hawks as the first pick in the 2024 draft, made his professional debut in the 8th inning of the same day, Rakuten Eagles game 2-6. He gave Walk to leadoff Daisuke Nakashima, then carried the ball to right field by Ryosuke Tatsumi. Here, he missed Rui Muneyama with a curve and got him to struck out, then swung and missed McCuscar on a slider struck out, and finally got YG Yasuda to swing and miss struck out with a curveball, recording three outs in his debut struck out.

Iwamoto commented, "pitcher who is exactly my type has emerged. I like pitcher who get excited or disappointed by the results and yell about them. If you don't have the spirit, there's nothing extra left in your play, so I think those three outs he got in his first appearance gave him a lot of confidence."
