◆ Pacific League Softbank Hawks 4-6 Rakuten Eagles (15th, Mizuho PayPay Stadium)

Rakuten Eagles secured their first series win in eight series against league Softbank Hawks. They won by scoring six runs, including three Home Run from infielder Rui Muneyama, outfielder Carson McCusker, and outfielder Daisuke Nakashima.

First up is Muneyama. In the first inning, with one out and a runner on first base, he hit a go-ahead two-run homer to right field. Hitting the home run in front of his parents, who had traveled all the way from his hometown of Hiroshima to cheer him on, he smiled and said, "It's been a while since my parents came to watch a game, so I'm glad I was able to hit it in front of them."

In the fourth inning, with the score tied, McCuscar hit a valuable go-ahead homer. With no outs and a runner on first, he swung a powerful swing at Kamichatani's slider. The ball flew into the right-field terrace as his 17th two-run homer. "I'm very satisfied that I got the ball out on the first swing and turned it into a home run," he said proudly.

He also hit three Home Run in the same game on July 10th, bringing his total against Softbank Hawks to six, five of which were on the road. He demonstrated his good compatibility with the team once again on this day.

In the bottom of the fifth inning with two outs and the score 4-2, Nakajima hit his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot to the right-field terrace seats, extending the lead to three runs.

In the seventh inning, Hit by Pitch to lead-off hitter Taira created a scoring opportunity with one out and a runner on third base. Ota then executed squeeze on the first pitch to score the sixth run.

On the pitching side, starting pitcher Hayakawa pitched well, allowing only 6 hit 2 runs over 7 innings to earn his 6th win of the season.
