Nippon Professional baseball (NPB) and SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation announced the winners of the July "SKY PerfecTV! walk-off Award" on the 14th. From Central League, Shogo Sakakura of Hiroshima (second time receiving the award) and from Pacific League, Seibu Lions of Seibu (first time receiving the award) were selected.

On July 7 against the Yakult, with the score 2–3 in the bottom of the ninth inning with no outs and a runner on first, Sakakura hit his ninth home run of the season—a two-run shot to right field that gave his team the lead walk-off. For Sakakura, this was his first home run in five years walk-off.

On July 22nd, in the bottom of the 10th inning of the game against Nippon-Ham, Nevin hit a runner off home run to left-center field with one out and walk-off home run. This marks the first time in four years that a foreign player has received the award across both leagues, the last being McBroom (Hiroshima) in July 2022, and the first time in five years in Pacific League the last being Laird (Lotte) in September 2021.

Furthermore, this is the first time in two years that a Seibu Lions Lions player has received the award, the last being Rakuto Wakabayashi in May 2024. He is also only the second foreign player for Seibu Lions Lions to receive the award, the first being Ernesto Mejia in September 2019, seven years ago.
