Softbank Hawks suffered a come-from-behind loss to Seibu Lions.
Starting pitcher Kamichatani pitched well, giving up no runs in seven innings. The offense scored first in the seventh inning with one out and a runner on second base when Tanigawara hit a timely doble Sumida.
Nevertheless, Matsumoto Yu, who took mound in the 8th inning with a one-run lead, gave up a go-ahead two-run homer to Kojima with two outs and a runner on second base, turning the game around.
In the ninth inning, they created scoring opportunities, including lead-off hitter Makihara Dai getting on base with Walk, but they failed to score.
