Hayakawa, who started the game, threw 6 hit in 8 innings with no runs, marking his fifth win since the Nippon-Ham game (Rakuten Eagles Mobile) since July 3. He allowed 1 run each in the 1st and 2nd innings, but calmly closer the Nippon-Ham lineup with his mound executions. In the 6th inning, he allowed Mizuno to hit to center field, but grounded out Mannami to third double play. He scored a swinging struck out from Reyes and did not allow any runs.

In the 7th inning with one out, Muneyama hit single to center field. Nakajima followed with a single to right hit, and on a fielding error by Nippon-Ham 's Manami, Muneyama scored the third run. Further timely hits from YG's Yasuda and a two-run doble by McCusker extended the lead to 6-0. Marte closed out the game in the 9th inning, securing win.
